PLGA synthesis research led to investigations of chemical structure, molecular weight and thermal behavior. In-house samples, external analytical testing and collaborative publications helped connect material properties with processing.

One polymer. Different processing histories.

PLLA filaments were extruded and studied through drawing, heat treatment and tensile testing. PLGA was injection-molded into plate and screw specimens for forming and mechanical evaluation, connecting material, tooling and process conditions.

Membrane and filament studies examined changes in mass, pH, surface and mechanical properties over time. Composition, geometry and test conditions are necessary context for interpreting differences.

Microsphere development for filler and skin-booster materials involves examining shape and surface, particle size and supply format. SEM images of a vitamin C-containing PLLA sample record an investigation of its internal structure.

Synthesis research is distinct from current feedstock sourcing. Current PLLA microsphere production uses imported polymer feedstock, with particle manufacturing and processing developed for the intended purpose.
